New Online DVD Rental Store for LDS Movies
A new online DVD rental company has opened their doors and unlike Netflix or Blockbuster this site is specific for the LDS market.
Nashville, TN – May 6, 2008 – LDS Movie Rentals (www.ldsmovierentals.com) today announced the launch of the first DVD rental website for LDS movies. This new site will enable subscribers to rent movies online and receive the DVDs by mail. There are no due dates or late fees. Movies are watched when it’s convenient and then sent back to receive the next DVD.
“As a family, we like to gather on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy a good movie,” said Rebecca Frech, co-founder, LDS Movie Rentals. “We want to share with others the spirit that is in our home from watching LDS based movies.”
The new rental service contains a wide range of videos that can easily be searched and browsed in categories such as Comedy, Drama, Family, General Conference, Training For Leaders, Faith & Spirituality and Music & Performing Arts.
Hundreds of titles, ranging from blockbusters such as The Work And The Glory, Saints And Soldiers, and The Other Side Of Heaven to independent videos like The RM and Mobsters & Mormons, to classics such as Johnny Lingo, and spiritual videos like Special Witnesses of Christ and Standards Night Live, are available for rental.
“In the last several years the LDS film industry has grown. Unfortunately most of the videos are not shown in national theaters or sold in Walmart. This creates a disconnect with film producers and Mormon movie goers,” said John Frech, co-founder, LDS Movie Rentals. “The site will connect the two on a larger scale and help continue the growth of the LDS film industry.”
LDS Movie Rentals offers two low-priced monthly rental plans. For $12.95 per month, members can have one movie at home at anytime with unlimited monthly rentals. For $19.95 per month, members can enjoy two movies at anytime with unlimited monthly rentals.
Traditional movie rentals often incur substantial late fees. Both of LDS Movie Rental’s low-priced plans have no due dates or late fees. There is also free shipping both ways. You will receive a postage paid envelope when you receive your rental. When you are done watching the movie, place the DVD into the envelope and just drop it in any mailbox.
For a short period, every time you rent a movie, you are entered for a chance to win the HearSay interactive DVD game series. The HearSay DVD Game allows viewers to have fun and be entertained, all while learning the mastery verses from the current seminary program. What are you waiting for, start renting movies!
